Black Eyed Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Black eyed peas. 
  • Water 
  • 1 onion diced 
  • 3 slices of bacon 
  • Salt 
  • Pepper

Cooking Instructions

Add Black eyed peas to 2 quart in a stock pot. 

 

Add bacon and onion. 

 

Add salt and pepper to taste. You can always add more salt after cooking.  

 

Bring to a boil.  

 

Reduce heat, cover and simmer until peas or done.  

 

Add more water as needed.
