<p>Start preheating the oven to 400 degrees. </p>

<p>Place bacon on a ovenproof pan. A cast iron griddle works best. Make sure the pan is deep enough that the drippings do not escape into the oven. </p>

<p>Place pan in the oven. You do not have to wait until the oven is completely preheated. </p>

<p>Depending on the thickness of the bacon as to how long it will need to cook. Usually about 30 to 45 minutes. </p>

<p>About half way through turn the bacon once. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Once the bacon has reached your desired doneness, remove from pan and serve. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Be sure to collect the dripping as these will make great seasoning for bean and peas and just about anything else. Put the dripping in a jar with a lid, label as "Pork Butter" and store in the refrigerator once cooled. </p>
